RM and ECM in Government and Public Bodies
Conference and exhibition, 24-25 May 2006
The Fielder Centre, University of Hertfordshire
(Sponsored by the National Archives)
This year's leading conference on 'Records Management and Enterprise
Content management in Government and Public Bodies' is sponsored by The
National Archives and organised by Cimtech Ltd (www.cimtech.co.uk).
Full details at
http://www.cimtech.co.uk/Main/CourseEvents_Government_2006.htm.
The conference is designed to help all those in the public sector who are
implementing, or planning to implement, modern records and content
management systems in order to meet e-government targets and legislative
compliance. This year's conference features major new announcements from
The National Archives including best practice for electronic archive
management and a new methodology for auditing compliance with the Lord
Chancellors Code of Practice.
You will not be preached at by suppliers who have paid for the slot but
rather will hear from colleagues who have volunteered to present on issues
they feel strongly about and experts with a track record in assisting users
to implement successful solutions.
The conference, designed by The National Archives and Cimtech, provides a
comprehensive mix of keynote presentations, focus groups and discussion
sessions that cover recent developments and describe the standard
methodologies (ISO 15489 and DIRKS) and how they can be used in order to
ensure successful system implementation. There will be a review of the
marketplace for ERM and ECM solutions and industry experts will explain how
to review existing information policies and procedures, how to develop a
corporate classification scheme and file plan, how to manage RM and ECM
projects and how to analyse specific information and business process
requirements with a view to securing the best solution. Representatives
from the National Archives will preview future ERM and electronic
preservation standards and software compliance testing developments.
Selected users from across government and public bodies will present
detailed case studies describing their experiences of implementing systems
and the valuable lessons that have been learned.
The event includes a free exhibition of products and services from over
twenty of the leading suppliers to the public sector. Open to delegates and
visitors throughout the conference.
You can tailor your attendance at the conference to meet your particular
needs by selecting from two-day, one-day and half-day booking options.
