Definitely that tenderness, Stephen, yes. As I understand it, Levertov
was a reader for Norton back in the mid-sixties, & Avison was one of
the few Canadians published in Cid Corman's Origin; she also was the
only Canadian at the Vancouver 63 summer festival. So this one book
published in the US. Since which she has published many more, & now has
a 3 volume Collected out in Canada. That quality you point to found in
most of her best work....
