April 2006 BUIRA (British Universities Industrial Relations Association) Newsletter
Have you any news for the April 2006 Newsletter. The Newsletter is distributed to more than 650 BUIRA members in the UK and beyond. Items relating to Conference Reports, Research News, Conference and Seminar Announcements, Details of Jobs and Vacancies, New Appointments and short items and articles of topical interest are all welcome.

The Newsletter will contain a registration form for this years BUIRA Conference at the National University of Ireland in Galway. Full details of the Conference and the Call for Papers can be found on the BUIRA Website (www.buira.org.uk <http://www.buira.org.uk/> ).

BUIRA 2006 Conference, 28-30 June, National University of Ireland, Galway
The deadline for the submission of paper proposals (1000 words) for this year's Buira conference is March 24th.
The conference streams are:
- partnership, productivity and the quality of working life
- welfare regimes and public service delivery
- employee representation and voice
- equality and inequality in work and employment
- international and comparative industrial relations
- HRM and employment regulation in SMEs
- other
There will be special issues of the Industrial Relations Journal and Equal Opportunities International arising from the conference.
