That was my point the less flexible the technology the less you can include
a wider partnership
the fact is if you open up and use flexible technology the better the
chance is that people can use the portal
and portals are the right technology it is based on the fact of being
flexible enough for wide user base and also is it scalable .. the HEIRPORT
was only one avenue (that people rightly or wrongly thought was difficult
to develop)
any technology has issues .. thats a fact

So far I've found out that Heirport has less felxible technology, and
that Heritage Gateway may well be used for OAI harvesting and data
aggregation. What does Heirport have to say about all this?
