Behavioural Research Consultant - Psychology & Eye Tracking

The Company
Tracksys distribute a range of software and hardware products to
Universities and businesses for the collection of behavioural data. Our
markets include psychology, pharmacology, zoology, ergonomics and sports
science, among others. We demonstrate, supply, provide training for and
support a variety of systems including;
Eyetrackers (iView X from SMI <http://www.smi.de/> )
Manual and automatic behaviour coding programmes (e.g. The Observer &
EthoVision by Noldus <http://www.noldus.com/> )
Motion and movement capture systems (Motion by SIMI
<http://www.simi.com/> ).
We also supply fixed and portable observation laboratories, remote site
filming systems, mazes and a range of other equipment & software for
behavioural observation work.
The Person
We are looking for an experienced behavioural scientist who is ready to
leave academia to use their excellent communication, problem solving and
entrepreneurial skills. Ideally you will have psychology and/or
eyetracking research experience at post-doc level.
You will assess the needs of researchers and businesses to provide the
ideal solution for their study(s). You will develop good working
relationships with customers and provide training and technical support
to new and existing users.
The post is ideal for someone who enjoys solving behavioural research
problems; helping researchers and businesses to get the most from their
studies. You must be a good networker, willing to travel, IT literate
and genuinely interested in helping others with their research goals.
Ultimately, this is also a sales role and applicants should bear this in
mind.
Training
An initial 3-month training on technical sales and presentation skills
will be given. We also provide external courses to supplement the
training programme in the medium-term, for personal and company
development. The role has the capacity to expand or develop into the
following areas: Training, Consultancy, Business Management, Marketing
or Technical Support
