Goldsmiths College
Temporary Film and Video Technician
Visual Arts Department
We are looking for a Temporary Film and Video Technician fill a
vacancy within our lab in Goldsmiths Visual Arts Department from 18th
April 2006.
Although this is a temporary vacancy at the moment I am particularly
interested to hear from somebody with a strong sound or music
background, as I would like to develop this area in the future.
As we are primarily a film and video lab we are first of all looking
for someone who can assist and support students working in Film and
Video as well as giving some support to students working in the
Digital Media facilities, using Photoshop and archival printers.
The ideal candidate should therefore be proficient with Final Cut Pro
5, AVID, DVD Studio Pro, ProTools 6, Adobe Audition, Photoshop and
have a proficient level of knowledge of video recording techniques
and MiniDV cameras.
This is also a particularly busy time, as students are preparing
their final year work for assessments and end of course exhibitions.
So we are looking for someone who can multi-task, perform under
pressure and is capable of working with students of varying technical
abilities.

Many Thanks
