Notification of Acceptance: March 31st, 2006
This poster session will focus on presenting student research to disability
scholars and colleagues from across Canada and internationally. It is being
organized by and for students in a collaborative rather than competitive manner
in order to support and encourage students who have never participated in an
academic conference. It will be an opportunity to receive feedback from
academics and members of the disability community from across the country and
internationally.
Abstracts of 150 words should describe research that is currently in progress
and how it contributes to the field of Disability Studies. This can include
community activism, arts, culture as well as studies from all academic
disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Following this, a 100 word
description of the format of your poster; including requests and/or proposals
for alternative formats if necessary, should be included. Please also include
the following contact information: name, affiliation (if any), mailing address,
phone number and email.
