Multimedia may come to the rescue. I was at a Podcasting seminar at the
press club in Canberra on Tuesday
<http://www.tomw.net.au/blog/2006/03/podcasting-politics.html>. A room full
of marketing media types were playing close attention to a presentation on
metadata. The reason was that this metadata was needed for people to find
their marketing message heard.
On Wednesday I was asked how to create content for wall screens in a
organisation's foyer. My suggestion was to recycle their web site,
reformatted for large screens by exploiting accessibility features of the
web. Metadata is then needed to select the appropriate web pages to display
automatically.
