Postgraduate Research Opportunities in Human Geography
Applications are invited for two studentships tenable from September/October 2006:
ESRC ‘1+3’ PhD Research Studentship (Quota Award)
Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, a good Upper Second or First Class degree in Geography or related discipline. The studentship covers a first year taking the MSc Population and Welfare Geography and then three further years studying for a PhD. The studentship covers all fees and pays a maintenance grant of £12,300 per year.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences University Scholarship
Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, a good Upper Second or First Class degree in Geography or related discipline. The studentship covers all fees and pays a maintenance grant of £8000 per year with the student being required to undertake a maximum of 6 hours undergraduate support teaching a week.
