I agree so we started a variety of advocacy capaigns a couple of years
ago. We did an awareness survey about OA simultaneously with this
society survey, and the result is due in a few days. Librarians are
very aware of OA accurately, but scientists are in general not. We
have done many workshops, including those with invitees from abroad,
symposia, webpages and blogs and so on and on. It just takes time and
our lesson is that history is important.
