Dear Colleagues
This message is to remind you that the 2006 International Employment Relations Association conference will be held in Hong Kong from 19-23 June. It is being hosted by the Hong Kong Baptist University Business School. The main theme of the conference this year is family-friendly employment policies and practices (and work-life balance). We also welcome papers on any other employment topic, including organisation studies; for example pay; HRM; trade unions and collective bargaining; culture, power and control; workforce planning; training and development; industry studies; and debates in employment relations theory and research. In particular comparative papers are welcomed.
You may submit either an abstract or a full paper for refereeing (if this is required in advance of attendance in order to acquire funding) by 31 March. Once abstracts are accepted, full papers will be required by the end of April 2006.
Details about the conference can be found at http://www.hkbu.edu.hk/~iera2006.
There will be a half day PhD workshop on the afternoon of 19 June.
Apologies for cross posting.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Ulke Veersma,
Secretary,
International Employment Relations Association
