I´m not an expert on Social Role Valorisation or Dr. Wolfensberger, but I
did have to read his writing as part of some work I was doing a couple of
years back, and one big impression I was left with was the number of times
he referred to "other people" deciding on behalf of the disabled person.
It might be that he, and SRV have moved on in the last few years, but at
the time I was certainly concerned that his work of the 1990´s appeared to
be more about imposing societal "norms" than freeing the individual.
