Are you planning an application to the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2006?
If you are developing an archive-related project involving an application to the 'Your Heritage' grant scheme (£5k to £50K), then you may be interested in the upcoming National Council on Archives workshop being held on Tuesday 6th June at National Archives of Scotland.
These one-day workshops are aimed at helping participants to develop the core structure of a 'Your Heritage' grant application. Participants should have an identified project proposal developed prior to attending the course. The workshop covers the following aspects of the application process.
Writing an executive summary
Describing the need and/or demand for the project
Describing the heritage focus
Demonstrating organisation ability
Considering project management
Creating a realistic project timetable
Completing the budget
Defining measurable project aims
The use of evidence to substantiate claims
Good presentation
