The Centre for Housing Policy is pleased to introduce its new working Paper
series, launched at the start of 2006.
The first title in the series is 'Poverty of Place' by Suzanne Fitzpatrick.
This paper focuses on the spatial concentration of poverty and wealth, and
the implications these have for people living in poverty. It proposes a new
'story' of poverty whcih acknowledges that, in an era of generally growing
prosperity, its social and spatial dimensions are at least as important as
material deprivation for those left behind.
