I don't see why it should confuse USAmericans especially
It certainly confuses us - like you, we are ruled by idiots and crooks - but
surely you aren't suggesting that USA law makes sense

This seems curious and rather confusing. I don't understand the mindset
here. I suspect many Americans are taken by surprise at some of the
apparently weird provisions of British law as they pertain to artistic
expression. I am starting to picture W. B. Yeats in the prisoner's dock
for having written and published "Easter 1916."
