I really would have preferred you disagree on that last one. The idea
of Bush as a manipulated doofus is bad enough. But the idea this is a
studied stupidity act or "antic disposition" makes him sound like
Tiberius in "Sejanus"--a man who plays the fool but is a great
puppet-master. He appears to have known enough to assemble a management
team that can do a lot of his heavy lifting. The questions are how long
this scheme will work before people see through it and what they can do
about once they figure it out. I suspect not a hell of lot. "Oh we,
like sheep...."
