Interesting. You may have opened up a new can of worms here! How many examples of real firesetting have been identified in the UK. Since the late 1970s, the audio-visual display at George & Charlotte Mine at Morwellham, West Devon, has included a reference to fire-setting, despite no evidence for it in the Tamar Valley! I'm aware there is some evidence for Derbyshire and the Great Orme Bronze Age Mines (though I'm more interested in its medieval and later use). Do list members know of others, preferably dated?
