Heritage Lottery Fund Access to Archaeology Project Officer
Salary £16739 - £19565 (37 hours per week)
Contract for 2 years and 8 months
The Lake District National Park has a rich and varied archaeological heritage including prehistoric landscapes, medieval monastic sites and the extensive remains of past industries. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to promote greater awareness of this heritage by providing information in an accessible and exciting format to the wider community.
You will prepare information for a series of leaflets, exhibition modules, education packs and our website and you will deliver an outreach programme to the wider community to promote this resource.
You should have a degree in archaeology or a closely related subject or equivalent experience and an interest in making archaeological information available to the wider public. Experience of presenting archaeology to the general public is desirable. Excellent written and communication skills and sound IT skills are essential.
