Upgrading to the new version on a pool node is not really a big task, just
a case of upgrading the dCache server and client rpms, and making sure
that your node type is defined as pool. But, if you really want to go with
the older version then you will need to change door_config on each node
where you want a gridftp door to:
SRM no
GSIDCAP no
GRIDFTP yes
and then run install_doors.sh . As you mentioned, the door names will
change (they need to since dCache uses the name of things to work out
what to do), so you'll need to change httpd.batch. You can find out what
to do here:
http://wiki.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/DCache_FAQ#How_do_I_create_a_grid-ftp_door_on_a_pool_node.3F
You will also need to make sure that pnfs is mounted on each of the pool
nodes and you have the correct files in /pnfs/fs/admin/etc/exports .
Instructions in the wiki. Let mw know if you get stuck.
Are you running dCache in resilient mode?
Cheers,
Greig
