>I love the title and maritime theme - looks great. 2 or 3 days fine with me
- I understand your
colleagues' concerns re the third day =but I feel that not everyone can do
everything and if some
people are willing/ want to stay on that should be a possibililty, as well as
having action points
integrated throughout. otherwise as we have said it can be hard to carry
things forward. maybe you
could advertise it as a two day event with open space availability for anyone
who wants it built in
throughout and also available on the following day? Some people at the
newcastle conference did say
they'd value that . having said all that I'm totally happy to go simply with 2
days if that's the consensus
of the organisers.
I just slightly wonder about calling it a call for papers - if we want people
to be actively involved who
aren't in the professional world I wonder whether a phrase like invitation to
contribute, or some other
more user friendly less scary/ grand sounding phrase might be a bit less
daunting?=Though you do
make it more accessible than that with the wording.
I'm going to be away between jobs April/ May so sorry cannot help with
reviewing.
