University of Bath PhD Studentship in Complex Social Dynamics
The Department of Social and Policy Sciences at the University of Bath is
offering a Research Studentship in Complex Social Dynamics, leading to the
award of PhD. The Department is interested in the development of new
research perspectives which bring together complexity science on the one
hand, neo-institutionalist policy science on the other, in order to
understand processes of dynamic social change. The successful candidate
will work with colleagues within the Department, but also with an array of
other academic staff from science departments elsewhere in the University.
The Department is one of the leading research centres in social policy in
Britain, and draws together academic staff with backgrounds in Social
Policy, Sociology, Social Work and related disciplines. We have achieved
a prominent international reputation with grade 5 or its equivalent in all
UK Research Assessment Exercises. For further information about the
department see http://www.bath.ac.uk/soc-pol/
Applicants should normally have a good Honours degree in a relevant
