International Visiting Fellowships
These are aimed at senior academics with recognised expertise in the area of non-governmental public action. More information is given in the Call for Applications for International Visiting Fellowships. The fellowships will also be advertised in the Guardian on Tuesday 31 January and in the Economist on Saturday 4 February 2006. They will be handled by the NGPA programme (not the ESRC) and applications should be submitted by Monday 24 April 2006.
User Fellowships
User Fellowships
These are designed for user groups to either reflect upon a research theme relevant to an NGPA project and user group, or to work together with a project to develop the practical applications of the research project. More information is given in the Call for Applications for User Fellowships. These fellowships will be handled by the NGPA programme (not the ESRC) and applications should be submitted by Monday 13 March 2006.

Post-doctoral fellowships on the theme of legitimacy and accountability, faith-based organisations, civil society, exclusion and violence will also be offered. These will be handled by the ESRC, and information is published on the ESRC website.

PS - I am currently involved with a group funded by this project investigating non-government public action through alternative media. We would be particularly interested in hearing from people who were interested in working along these lines and were thinking about submitting a bid.
