<snip> Anyone who's familiar with this organization, are there any practical differences between a 'consultation' and a 'group'? And are there any recommendations on which of these groups (or both) I should direct my proposal? Although the paper's political/communal content would fit with the pagan studies angle, the ritual and mystical element would fit into the Western Esotericism's 'ritual studies and religious practice section.' I'm used to theatre, communication and performance studies organizations (ATHE, NCA, PSI), so if anyone is more familiar with the AAR, let me know if you have any advice. Thanks,

Just to answer one question, a "consultation" is AAR-lingo for a new
group. They are both official program units.
