Yes, does seem somewhat excessive.
You're very kind about 'superior research'. Not much more than judicious use
of the Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church, with some help a couple of
years ago from a kind priest at Brookwood, plus Timothy [Kallistos] Ware's
excellent 'The Orthodox Church' (Penguin - which seems appropriate for the
Epiphany events - 1997 edn.).
