Hi Beth,
I think this is what you want to do........at least I hope so!
- Click with-in the chart to activate the chart editor
- Then double click on the x-axis until it it turns blue
- This then acivates a window that allows you to change the properties of the x-axis
- Click on Ticks & Grids
- The default setting for major ticks is "outside"
- Change this to "inside"
- Then hopefully, your x-axis markers should be inside the graph!
Good luck,
Heather

Hi,
Does anyone know how to change a line graph in SPSS so that the lines
finish within the frame, rather than on it? In other words, how to move
the x-axis markers?
Alternatively, any suggestions for other programs that would produce
good APA format graphs would be appreciated.
Thanks
Beth

In SPSS v14, they do.
If I want more flexibility, I tend to use tables in SPSS, which I then
copy and paste into Excel.
