Wheal Concord Headframe:-
Just some background information regarding this structure which may be of
interest.
It was originally constructed at Geevor Tin Mine (by a Charlie Trembath &
others), then taken to Cligga Head & erected (. Later it was moved to
Nangiles, & subsequently moved to Wheal Concord.
Regards, Bob Orchard.

Re Mount Wellington headframe -
The Carn Brea Mining Society has been pushing for all of the remaining (9)
headframes in Cornwall to be Listed, though I think that the newly replaced
timber headframe at Wethered, Geevor, is Scheduled. I suspect that the
news of potential listing may have encouraged the owner of the headframe at
Mount Wellington to demolish it over a weekend. We have lost 5 in the past
15 years - Treweeks at Geevor, Wheal Pendarves, 2 x Wheal Jane, and now
Mount Wellington
The 9 survivors are:
Victory Shaft - Geevor
Wethered Shaft - Geevor
Skip Shaft - Levant
Allen's Shaft - Botallack
Vivian's Shaft - Great Condurrow
Robinsons Shaft - S Crofty
Cooks Shaft - S Crofty
Roskear Shaft - S Crofty
Main Shaft - Wheal Concord
We seem to be very good at preserving engine houses, of which we have
literally dozens, but somehow the funding and statuatory bodies fail to
apply the same energy to the preservation (or protection) of 20th Century
mine buildings (particularly those with roofs on) and associated structures
which arguably can tell us a lot more about the mine than engine houses.
