Special Session on Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization
(Read the full announcement on http://w3.ualg.pt/~cmfonsec/emo-cec2006/)
Scope
This special session aims to involve both theoreticians and
practitioners in the exchange of recent research and application
results in Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization and related areas,
including, but not limited to, the following topics:
* EMO algorithm design
* Other meta-heuristic approaches to multiobjective optimization
(ant colony optimization, particle swarm optimization, tabu
search, etc.)
* Theoretical analysis of EMO algorithms
* Performance characterization of multiobjective optimizers
* EMO test problem design
* Experimental comparison methodology
* Preference articulation in EMO
* Uncertainty handling
* Scalability issues (problem size, number of objectives)
* Parallel and distributed EMO algorithms
* Interactive optimization
* Solution visualization
* Real-world applications
Important dates
* Paper Submission: January 31, 2006
* Decision Notification: March 15, 2006
* Camera-Ready Submission: April 15, 2006
Submission
Manuscripts should follow the general WCCI 2006 guidelines, and
must be submitted online through the CEC 2006 submission website.
In particular, paper length is limited to 8 pages (US Letter format).
Please be sure to select this special session in the "Main topic area"
field of the paper submission form (the session code is Zm). Special
session papers will be handled and included in the conference
proceedings in the same way as regular papers.
