Nice one John! It feels like we've got a virtual base.
I have added a few bits.
For information, it's remarkably easy to edit, even for a usually complete
incompetent like myself!!
Happy 2006 to all
Dave

I have placed the references Dave refers to in his email here:

Then click through to references.
This is a wiki page and anyone can edit and update it. I am happy to "host"
this, based on members of CSRG updating the page as they see fit. No rude
words and nothing slanderous please!
Please also feel free to populate other parts of what I have established
under the CSRG "Main Page"
If anyone has a better idea about storing this sort of information, then I
am quite happy for this to happen at some future date and my offer to be pro
tem.

Hi All
I've just discovered a journal article about cycling, and in the spirit
of keeping each other informed of such landmark events ;-), thought I
should pass on details.
It's by Phil Jones, a geographer at Birmingham University (who I've just
emailed to inform of our existence), titled 'Performing the City: A body
and a bicycle take on Birmingham, UK', and is in the latest issue of
Social and Cultural Geography (2005, Vol. 6, No. 6, pp. 813-830). It's
also available via Phil's webpages, see Geog. Dept. Uni. of Bham.
Whilst I'm at it, I've a piece titled 'Environmentalism and the Bicycle'
in the next issue of the journal Environmental Politics (2006, Vol. 15,
No. 1, pp. 43-60).
I know that others have had pieces published in the recent past.
Shouldn't we find a way of compiling them somewhere, for the benefit of
future work?
Season's Greetings to all
Dave
