In Shrewsbury Health Visitors are notified of all childrens attendances
(0-15yr) by automatically sending an extra copy of the GP letter to the
practice Health Visitor. Using the same system we also inform them of the
elderly who attend.
In addition the department holds the current Child Protection register on
the registration computer and an alert is automatically generated on any
child on the register who attends - to generate a senior doctor review.
