Happy New Year colleagues!
2006 starts with brilliant news - Rhonda gets an MBE for Rhubarb, her fantastically successful international portfolio review and photofestival, held annually in Birmingham. Those of you who have had the privilege of working with her will know how important her contribution to photography has been.
I cannot read the attachment I have sent you - the intranet at NTU isn't working and my laptop won't open it from home. Photography has just moved back into completely refurbished accommodation and the builders are a bit behind schedule. This week we have no phones either and, perhaps more worryingly, no water or electricity in the darkrooms...It will be fine soon!
The APHE 'exec' are getting on with organising the next conference (27th and 28th April at Napier) so it is time to send me your suggestions. The theme, you will recall, is photographic education, and I'll write with more information and updates very soon.
Best wishes,
Cary Welling,
Chair APHE,
Programme leader of Photography at Nottingham Trent University.
