We have previously added a number of sites to the Local intranet and
Trusted sites zones and deployed them to clients through Internet
Explorer Maintenance Group Policy.
We now need to remove one of these entries as it is no longer required
and causing a problem. However, as far as I can see, Group Policy only
seems to allow you to add additional sites to those already existing in
the users profile. There doesn't even seem to be a way of clearing the
zone completely and then re-populating it.
Is the only solution to hack the user's registry held at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\ZoneMap\Domains
Or has anyone found another way of doing this. Clients are Windows XP
SP1 and SP2.
