The University of Texas at Austin Department of Civil, Architectural, and
Environmental Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position at
the Assistant Professor level. The department is seeking an exceptionally
qualified individual with a background in civil engineering, or a related field, and
interests that will expand our current research capabilities in one or more of
following interdisciplinary areas: infrastructure, hazard mitigation,
sustainability, new materials, and innovative sensing approaches. The successful
candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses,
develop a research program, collaborate with other faculty, and be involved in
service to the university and the profession. Applicants must have an earned
Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Applications from women and
minorities are encouraged. Interested and qualified individuals should submit a
detailed resume, including academic and professional experience, a list of
publications, statements of research interests and teaching philosophy, and the
