Gosh there is a lot here Grassy and I thank you for your comments and
carefull reading they are very usefull. Anyway the reason I wrote this was
because I was challenged to write it by a friend. Years ago we were both
nurses and she told me about a nurse she knew who could not wash the hands
of a particular patient. This patient turned out to be a well known mass
murderer. Shocking but true. It could sound silly and melodramatic I will
agree but in this case I think sometimes fact is stranger than fiction. The
"haunted grip" means that she could sense that their was something eerie
about these hands. The silver scar could be on the folds of flesh so "on"
could replace "under".
I see your point about the untangling of hair too. I did wonder at this.
"The hard skin on the heels on their feet " I think I was maybe being too
specific but I wanted to paint a picture in words. "Hidden anxiety" yes I
know what you mean but sometimes I have come across quite out ward looking
people, jolly and full of life and then when you look at them more closely
see signs of anxiety that they do not show in their personalities.
Manipulate yes I know what you mean. I did wonder at this too. I think I was
thinking of the quickness and dexterity of fingers and also the manipulation
of people too. Thanks for usefull comments, Bw Sally J
