This again very poigmant and a lovely tribute to your mother. Sometime
poetry simply written as the biggest impact for me. I like the Easter
message about ressurection and how the boulder does not move. " Ressurected
merely in the mind." Best wishes Sally J

>Mother's Birthday
>
>She reclines
>blanched with death
>upon an ivory satin pillow
>I uncovered a flamingo pink suit
>like Jackie Kennedy's
>a snowy ruffled blouse
>to hide her epoch of pain
>
>Her birthday coincides with Easter
>Years have traveled their path
>and memories have marked each day
>I kindle a candle to create a trestle
>but the boulder does not budge
>
>She remains buried
>resurrected merely in my mind
