>Here's a little spontaneous winter poem..
>
>More winter flowers
>
>January depresses
>hearts and temperature
>frost, fear, lassitude
>jittery darkness.
>
>Yet out of the frost
>spring flowers from earth,
>small bulbs opening,
>snowdrop and aconite.
>
>Above the ground
>hanging from shrubs
>are spiders of witch-hazel,
>and viburnum nets.
>
>Pink, yellow, white
>the flowers of spring
>trade winter's emptiness
>for perfumed light.
>
>January depresses
>February awaits
>and March remembers
>more winter flowers.
