The International Max Planck Research School on Advanced Photon Science (IMPRS-
APS) offers young researchers aiming for a PhD a unique combination of education and
training opportunities in the physics and technology of photon sources and their
advanced application in physics, chemistry and biology. Approximately 13 fellowships
for PhD-students (total number of students 40) will be awarded to the best aspirants
worldwide for a period of three years. For further information, please visit our web-site
at

IMPRS-APS was established as a collaboration of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität
(LMU) and Technische Universität München (TUM) in partnership with Max Planck
Institut für Quantenoptik (MPQ) and in association with Technische Universität Wien
(TUW). The members of IMPRS-APS pursue forefront research on advancing the light
sources and to employ them for gaining deeper insight into the microscopic structure
and dynamics of matter.
