I much appreciate your letting me read your space syntax paper. Your point of view is much different from mine, and it is useful to think through agreements and differences.
First, some comments about the paper format and organization:
1. The paper is brief. You say you're reviewing some "current debates" but I'm wondering if you really address these debates in such short discussion? Why not expand the paper? Or is there some sort of "length" requirement you're dealing with? 2. A clear picture of what space syntax is. Dear Said,
In order to join two storeys, you need to use the 'join' button on the
toolbar. It becomes live only when you select a VGA point or axial line
that you want to join to another point or line. With later versions of
Depthmap 5 you will be able to join selections of sets of points in the
same way. The Handbook, though now well out of date, may help you to
some extent:

I'm not sure what you mean by scale problems with DXFs -- why not post a
message to the Depthmap mailing list? -- there may be others out there
with some experience of similar problems:
