Apologies for cross posting.
The Annual General Meeting of The Career Development Group (Scottish)
Division will take place at 6.30pm on Wednesday 10th May 2006 in the Main
Hall of The Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow at 12 Nelson Mandela
Place, Glasgow.
The AGM will be followed by a tour of the Library.
The event is free.
The Royal Faculty of Procurators is a membership-based professional legal
institution serving the needs of the legal profession in Glasgow and West
Central Scotland.
The Faculty itself dates back to the 1660’s with it’s Library being a more
recent addition (dating back to 1817). The Library is situated in the
Royal Faculty building in the centre of Glasgow (2ms walk from Queen
Street Station) providing member access to a wide plethora of legal
information resources.
It is one of the largest law library’s in the West of Scotland. The
Library is maintained by Members' subscriptions and as such is not open to
the general public.
The tour of the Library is, therefore, a rare opportunity to see inside a
working professional legal society library and learn about the current
work of the library and it’s history.
