Ditto for the new Cancer Research UK podcast - currently still
undergoing development:
"Listen to the Cancer Research UK podcast to catch up on the latest
news, events and discoveries! Download the latest show now from
http://info.cancerresearchuk.org/news/podcast/ "
Given thatit's relatively simple to record lectures, turn them into
audio files, and set up an RSS feed, then there's no reason not to try
it.

Hi all,
We have been producing "The Jodcast" - The Jodrell Bank Observatory
podcast for the last year. If you are interested, please visit
www.jodcast.net.

I am assuming that The Jodcast is not included amongst these. If it is,
however, please take advantage of our feedback form
http://www.jodcast.net/contact.html
It is a relatively simple task to produce RSS feeds for your material,
and once you have a standard structure for your material you can write
scripts that will generate web pages, including those providing RSS
feeds.

Depends on the lecture. For instance, we edited the ~2 hour debate at
the last General Assembly of the IAU on whether Pluto is to be termed a
planet down to ~ 15 minutes. ( http://www.jodcast.net/archive/200608IAU/
)
However, a lecture that relies on visual information is almost
impossible to broadcast in its raw form. For the Jodcast, I get visiting
astronomers to just talk about their research, essentially forcing them
to articulate the concepts without reference to visual aids. This
generally works very well.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Nick
