The Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies was rated 5 in the last RAE and hosts the Risk, Science and Health Communication Group.
You will carry out research examining the UK media's coverage of science and technology. The project involves quantitative and qualitative analysis of a range of media texts, analyses of interviews with media professionals and the writing of reports.
You should possess experience of researching in journalism, media or cultural studies and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The posts are fixed-term for 9 months. Funding is available for two full-time posts and the Principal Investigator is willing to consider part-time/job-share working arrangements for one post.
Salary: £20044 - £22289 per annum, pro-rata for hours worked if on a part-time/job-share basis
