The 2006 Science Communication Conference will take place on Thursday
13th and Friday 14th July at the Institution of Engineering &
Technology, London.
This year's conference will contain sessions in three strands that look
at: engaging to inspire & educate, engaging to involve and engaging
through the media & PR.
Sessions will explore:
* Research culture and science communication
* The role of the science community in supporting science
education
* The future of broadcast and new media communications
* The impact of dialogue activities
* Industry engagement
* Using TV drama to communicate issues involving science
* Evaluating education and enrichment projects
* Creating and measuring media impact

Bookings are NOW OPEN , places are limited so early booking is
recommended. Bookings will close on Monday 3 July.
Bursaries covering attendance, travel and accommodation will be
available to the following groups: science communication students,
freelance/microbusiness, campaigning groups, BME community groups and
full time scientists. Bursary applications will open shortly, for
