Subject: Re: [PSCI-COM] references on UK and EU science communication policy
Dear all
Helen just pipped me to the post. The psci-com web site
(http://psci-com.ac.uk/) includes a list of key reports on issues to do with
science communication and science and society at
http://psci-com.ac.uk/browse/ypages/070.html. The records provide a short
description with a link to the full text of the report. In addition, you
can search psci-comlit - a separate database on the psci-com web site of
references to reports, journal articles and books
(http://psci-com.ac.uk/pscicomlit/).
Lastly, the Wellcome Library collections
(http://library.wellcome.ac.uk/index.html) include reports and policy
documents on science communication and public engagement. We have been
collecting this kind of 'grey' literature over a number of years so you can
trace the development of thinking in this field. (One tip for searching the
catalogue: restrict your search to "Science & Society Collection" using the
drop-down menu). The Library is open to the public and we also operate an
inter-library loan service to other libraries.
Best wishes
Louise

At the risk of stating the obvious, have you taken a look at the psci-com
website? It's a great resource with many key reports in the field.

Subject: [PSCI-COM] references on UK and EU science communication policy
Dear all,
The Dutch Da Vinci Institute (Centre for Science Communication) is currently
trying to review the "history of science communication policies"
of the EU and the UK and compare them with the history of the Dutch policy.
The desk study wil discuss science & society and sciencecommunication
reports, reviews, papers, etc.
We have trouble finding good reviews on this subject for the UK and EU, and
we would be greatly helped by references, such as historical key reports
which have helped shape the current policies.
We promise to report back a summary in English of the results of the study.
Thankfully yours,
Elroy Cocheret de la Morinière
