Re: the below and science made simple's TV pitch - just spoke to Wendy
Sadler who is travelling at the moment so cannot email. It's the 12th
December (not January).
Also - FYI - the studio is 3 Mill Studios, Bow, East London.

Apologies for cross posting...
I am seeking help from anyone based in London who may be able to
lend/sell or get us some propane
gas on Tuesday 12th January for a TV programme.
'science made simple' have been invited to give a 60 second pitch on a
new ITV show - similar to
Dragons Den , but less about business equity and more about giving money
to good causes. The
programme is called Millionaire cash giveaway and is made by Fever Media
who make Dragons Den and
Fame Academy. The panel will grill us with
nasty questions and we have to persuade 3 of the 5 panel members to
support our cause - which in our
case is funding to go to 100 schools that don't have the funds for
science enrichment. It will go
out in January.
We'd like to take one of our biggest and most theatrical demonstrations
to the studio - which is our
large 2m Rubens tube. (Flames come out along the top and it responds to
sound!) but it needs
propane, and as we are traveling down late evening Monday on the train
it is not practical/safe for
us to transport it. (and keep it in our hotel)
We could arrange for BOC or similar to deliver to the studio - but I
just wondered if anyone who is
London-based may be able to help us? I am waiting to find out exactly
where the studio is located,
and should know more details today. We're happy to pay something for the
gas and associated
transport costs if necessary. If you think you might be able to help us
at all, please get in touch
with me at [log in to unmask] or on my mobile 07791 755070
In addition, if anyone is interested in the programme and would like to
come along and support us
(and cheer very loudly!), we have 20 spaces for audience members. It is
very late notice I know, and
it is at 9am on Tuesday morning - but some friendly faces would be very
welcome if you think you'd
like to come along. Thanks a lot!
Best wishes
Wendy
