Science Communicator (Fixed Term 1 year)
Salary £14,000 to £17,000
We are looking for a passionate science communicator to run astronomy
activities for primary schools and to support our wider education and PR
activities. We are a busy centre based at an Observatory that is involved
in the fascinating world of leading edge astronomical science and
technology. You will be at the heart of our education team of students,
astronomers and engineers and we need you to bring to this team your
experience of working with children, a customer-orientated attitude,
reliability and good organisational skills. Your main role will be looking
after the school groups that visit the Observatory and taking our Starlab
planetarium out to schools in the east of Scotland. You will also help
take enquiries and bookings, organise special events and market our
