More about the project....
sciencehorizons is funded by the DTI’s Sciencewise programme and run by a
consortium of Dialogue by Design, Demos, the Graphic Science Unit, BBC
Worldwide Interactive Learning and Shared Practice.
Using the outputs of the DTI’s Horizon Scanning work, sciencehorizons will
present the public with visions of how new developments in science and
technology over the next 15-20 years could affect our future.
sciencehorizons will use a variety of engagement methods to stimulate
discussion and to discover the aspirations, concerns and values of a broad
range of participants. The project will provide insights into ways of
engaging large numbers of people in discussions and dialogue on science and
technology-related issues, particularly issues arising from new and
emerging areas of science and technology.
The results of the project will inform policy and decision-making on
setting the direction of research and the regulation of science and
technology, and will help identify priorities for further public
engagement.
This event will be a chance for you to find out more about the project and
the various ways you can get involved, and for us to gather your feedback
on our plans.
Hope to see you there.
