Indeed they don't. Scientists are aren't like they used to be.
Nowadays they're mostly big woosies, and this is why I left the bench
and turned to journalism - a much healthier profession. Follow a
typical scientist's lifestyle, with 60+ hour working weeks, in bed by
10pm, and no more than 21 units of alcohol (14 for women) per week,
and you'll be dead before you reach 50. What kind of life do you call
that?
