Alex,
The way I address assessment is ongoing. We usually do multiple assignments
over a semester. We will do reviews/critiques throughout the projects life-span
that are non-graded, both individual and group, then a final project
critique. Where I differ from many teachers is I allow my students to take back the
project and do re-works based on that "final" critique. They then submit the
project for a final grade evaluation. I also give the students a written
evaluation for each project, which touchs on several different areas.
