Dear List
I have a member of staff who attended for an audio test but both ears were fully impacted with wax making any visibility of the ear drum non existent.
He is refusing to get his ears syringed (not sure why) and has failed to attend numerous follow up appts given. He has asked if I could just go ahead and do the test anyway, of which I have refused to do so to date, explaining why, but he keeps asking. He claims that his hearing is fine and cannot see the relevance of this test.
He is a lone worker quite often patrolling the building/s at night time in isolation and I feel that he is not complying. HR are involved and are very supportive towards me, however, I am beginning to ask am I being over precuatious?
Any advise would be greatly recieved.
