The Nineteenth Century Studies Association (NCSA) is pleased to announce
the 2007 NCSA Article Prize. The prize recognizes excellence in scholarly
studies from any discipline focusing on any aspect of the long 19th
century (French Revolution to World War I). The winner will receive a cash
award of $500 to be presented at NCSA's annual meeting hosted this year by
Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove PA, March 10-14, 2007.
Articles published between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2006 are
eligible for consideration for the 2007 prize and may be submitted by the
author or the publisher of a journal, anthology, or volume containing
independent essays. Submission of interdisciplinary studies is especially
encouraged. Essays written in part or in whole in a language other than
English must be accompanied by translations in English. The winning
article will be selected by a committee of nineteenth-century scholars
representing diverse disciplines.
The deadline for submission is November 15, 2006.
