>Hello
>I enclose details about two Project Assistant posts as part of The Equiano
Project. The Equiano Project is a partnership between Birmingham Museums and
Art Gallery and The Equiano Society, with £653,000 funding from the Heritage
Lottery Fund. The focus of the project is Olaudah Equiano and his publication
'The Interesting Narrative', exploring his life as a slave, in the Royal Navy
and as a free man involved in the abolition of the slave trade campaign in the
late 18th century. The core elements of the project are an exhibition at
Birmingham Museum's Gas Hall venue (29 September 2007-13th January 2008), a
website, education pack and two small touring exhibitions.
>
>We are seeking two Project Assistant posts to join the Core Project Team, to
be based at Aston Hall from the end of October 2006. One post will be
Exhibitions, the other Education & Outreach. The closing date for applications
is 22nd September. Please see attached information about the posts. If you
can circulate these details within any free emails/ bulletins I would be
grateful.

>Thank you.
